Transition
to the United States Army
When his baseball career ended, he joined the United States Army and was assigned to the 1-17 Field Artillery Regiment, deploying from 2010 to 2011 to the Ghazni Province of Afghanistan.
Contracting Officer and Representative for Afghan Build Sites
While there, Dane functioned as a contracting officer and representative for $6 million worth of Afghan build sites for the Afghan National Army and National Police, logging nearly 10,000 miles on the world’s most dangerous roadways.

2012 - 2013
Deployments in the United Arab Emirates
Dane also deployed to the United Arab Emirates from 2012 to 2013 as a HIMARs operator to deter Iran as they began enriching weapon’s grade uranium and to strategically prepare for the anticipated emergence of ISIS upon the US exit from Iraq.
Logistics Leadership
Dane left the Army in 2015 Honorably and began leading in the E-Commerce logistics domain. He spent 6 years leading complex logistics before entering the entrepreneur space. While working in logistics, Dane had 3 significant corporate culture turnarounds, an enterprise sized last mile delivery launch to Manhattan, and participation in a COVID-19 response team.
